Take the Do-Make #English #Collocations Quiz!

A collocation is a phrase of two or more words that together express an idea or convey meaning.

Collocations are an efficient manner to build your English vocabulary. Isn't it easier to learn a phrase of a few words than just one word at a time?

Many students of English often have trouble with choosing the correct verb, however, that correctly goes with the collocation.

One of the tough choices for students is between Do and Make, especially for students of the romance languages.

For example, in Spanish, hacer is the verb for to do, and to make in English. Thus, there is confusion among Spanish speakers on the right verb to use in many collocations.

You can learn a list of collocations here. Take one verb and practice the other parts of collocation one at a time. Then, gradually add other collocations to your vocabulary.

Have you already studied collocations? Are you ready for a challenge?
